SUZUKA Enjoy A License

"For those who want to try racing!" The perfect program for them is the Suzuka Enjoy A License.

To participate in races, you need a domestic A license (commonly known as A Rai) issued by JAF, but you can obtain that A Rai in just one day.

We will conduct classroom lectures to acquire the necessary knowledge for obtaining an A license. After the lectures, there will be a written exam, but it is not difficult as it is a test on rules and manners.

If you pass the written exam, the next step is the practical training and practical exam. It will be conducted after practicing under the guidance of the instructor. If you can follow the instructions and manners displayed by the flags while driving, you will pass. You will then be able to become a racing driver.

Driving lessons will use your own car, but no special modifications are necessary. The lessons are conducted by professional drivers who are familiar with Suzuka Circuit, so you can participate with peace of mind.

Lunch is not included in the tuition fee.

○Attention
To obtain a license, it is necessary to attend a JAF-approved training course and pass a written and practical test. If you fail, you will not be able to obtain a license. Please also note that the course fee will not be refunded.
If you have more than 50 minutes of driving experience at a JAF certified circuit other than Suzuka Circuit, please bring proof of your driving time at that circuit.

○Notes for Participation
Please read the following carefully and participate with consideration for safety.

○Eligibility

• ・Must have a regular driver's license or higher.
• ・Must be a JAF individual member.
  　※Family members, please switch your membership status in advance.
• ・Being an SMSC member.
  　※Valid for those who hold a valid 4-wheel or Challenge Club license on the day of the course.
• ・Those who meet either of the following conditions: ① or ②.
  ①Those who have "50 minutes or more of sports driving experience at a JAF certified circuit" within the past 2 years. (Proof of driving experience required)
  ②Those who have "completed a JAF certified speed event" within the past 2 years. (Proof of completion required)

※If you have a disability certificate, you must obtain prior approval from JAF on your own. (You will need to apply to JAF and obtain their approval for obtaining a domestic A license from JAF on your own)

○Things required when participating in a race
Helmet (full face or jet type, 2-wheel vehicle compatible, half cap type not allowed) / Racing gloves (※protecting the entire finger to wrist) / Athletic shoes (sneakers, etc.) / Long-sleeved, long pants (jeans and trainers, etc. that are easy to move in)

○Participating Vehicles
Four-wheeled vehicles that can be driven on general public roads within the valid period of vehicle inspection, excluding SUVs, RVs, kei cars, 1BOX cars, and minivans.
Slick tires, rain tires, and other race-specific tires are not allowed. Open cars must have a rear 4-point or more roll bar installed.

*Please be sure to contact the SMSC office in advance if you have any questions. If it is discovered on the day of Enjoy A License that the vehicle does not meet the requirements, you will not be able to participate in the lesson.
※Participation by rental car is not allowed.
※There is a practical training on the racing course. Both AT and MT cars are acceptable, but there may be cases where vehicles unsuitable for circuit driving cannot participate. If you have any questions, please contact SMSC in advance.
