Audi and Bentley announce driver line-ups Many strong drivers to participate in the IGTC including the Suzuka 10 Hours



In 2018, Audi and Bentley works teams will participate in the 47th Summer Endurance “Suzuka 10 Hours Race,” a race being launched this year as a revision of the traditional Suzuka 1000 km and will surely be one of the world's top competitions for GT3 cars.

Audi won the Manufacturers' title for the second consecutive year in the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) with the R8 LMS GT3. The German manufacturer will participate again in the 2018 season in all IGTC races including the Suzuka 10 Hours.

In 2018, Audi will take on the challenge of winning its three consecutive manufacturers' title in the IGTC. For that, Audi Sport customer racing will send ten drivers to Audi user teams which compete in the IGTC or the Blancpain GT Series, including Dries Vanthoor and Frédéric Vervisch in addition to the current eight drivers.

Like Audi, Bentley Motorsport has announced its driver line-up for the 2018 season and that it will introduced the Bentley Continental GT3 with Bentley Team M-Sport in several races including the Blancpain GT and in the LIQUI-MOLY BATHURST 12 HOURS.



Bentley has already announced they will introduce a second-generation Continental GT3 during the 2018 season. This new GT3 race car, currently under development in preparation for the coming season, features lighter weight and improved aerodynamics, along with more aggressive styling.

The British manufacturer has also released word they will introduce this new Continental GT3 for the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and the IGTC, in which Bentley Motorsport will participate in all of the races for the first time.

Regarding the driver line-up, it will retain five of its six current drivers for the 2018 season: Andy Soucek, Maxime Soulet, Vincent Abril, Steven Kane and Guy Smith.

In addition, Jules Gounon, the winner of the Total 24 Hours of Spa will join them instead of Oliver Jarvis who left the team after only one season. These six “Bentley Boys” will contest the GT3 races around the world, including the IGTC.
